A year ago, when little Katie took Dan Rather's chair, we'd expected Les Moonves was lobbing a grenade into the CBS News fishbowl. In fact, he didn't, allowing his celebrity cutie to fail in the hands of the insular CBS regime. Maybe this 60 Minutes move, combined with Dan's lawsuit, is part of Les' Plan B for blowing up CBS News for good.
If not, just give her the afternoon talk show and get on with it.
