Springtime for Sandra Bullock? Or D-Day?

With reports that Jesse James did his silly Hitler imitation at the time he was dating future Oscar®-winning wife Sandra Bullock, we've got ask what the unlikely pair had in common beyond their manufactured images of Everygirl actress and working class reality TV star. In wake of our post this morning on Sandra's German upbringing, at least one news organization that received a link is tiptoeing around the story and hinting that Sandra Bullock may be tarnished by the scandal-- without mentioning the elephant in the room (in much the same way early news coverage of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson avoided mentioning the interracial marriage-- look it up), which is the fact that she grew up in Germany, speaking German.

Seriously. What would Sandy and Jesse have to talk and laugh about over all those beers they'd throw back together like the ordinary folk we believe them to be?

We don't know the answer. We don't know if Jesse is any more of a Nazi enthusiast than Lemmy. And we don't know if the video above demonstrates a reason for the mutual attraction. We do know that the question will be asked. After all, the news media is known for turning on the ones they build up, and after all the sympathy Sandra's gotten so far, if she does indeed reconcile with her Nazi-cheating spouse, she can expect the worst.

Sandra Bullock is Jesse's German fraulein

While we all wonder what Sandra Bullock would ever have in common with that alleged Nazi-banging creep Jesse James (who's run to rehab now that he's been exposed as a monster who was photographed doing a silly Dick Shawn-Basil Fawlty Hitler imitation), we find it odd that no one we've noticed has mentioned that All-American Sandra grew up as a German girl-- in Germany!

Sandra is the daughter of German opera singer Helga D. Meyer, her grandfather was a rocket scientist from Nuremberg, Germany, and although Sandy was born in Virginia, she lived in Nuremberg until age twelve, where she sang in the opera's children's choir at the Staatstheater N├╝rnberg. Sandra spoke German as a child and remains fluent in the language.

Not that that counts for anything...

Postscript: Chris Montez at Beatlefest

The NY Metro Fest for Beatles Fans is history, but the buzz is only building after Sixties pop legend Chris Montez rewrote Beatles history in his festival debut. Chris, who headlined a UK tour in March 1963 just as the first wave of Beatlemania broke across England, was on hand to share his memories and to introduce a preview of the new nonfiction film, El Viaje Musical de Ezekiel Montanez: The Chris Montez Story, which demonstrated how he not only influenced the Beatles' choice in electric guitars but their taste in fashion as they copied the round, collarless jackets he wore on stage.

The film from our pals at Frozen Pictures played twice to enthusiastic audiences on Saturday and Sunday, filming continued at the Fest and Chris rocked the packed ballroom two nights in a row with his triple-threat combo of Call Me, The More I See You and Let's Dance.

Exclusive! New blast in Farrah war!

After Craig Nevius filed his response to a lawsuit against him by the trustee of Farrah Fawcett's estate (and business manager of his arch-enemy Ryan O'Neal) Richard B. Francis, in which he claims Francis is mishandling Farrah's money, O'Neal threatened to kill him while wresting control of the cancer documentary Nevius and Farrah had been producing together, and Alana Stewart misused her relationship with Farrah to sell a book, the estate and trio's attorney, Howard Weitzman responded:

"I've read Mr. Nevius' response to our complaint which I think contains spurious and outrageous allegations. I'm confident the truth will all come out during the course of the litigation."

Here, exclusively, Nevius responds to Weitzman's response:

"Mr. Weitzman THINKS my lawsuit contains 'spurious and outrageous allegations?' You mean, he doesn't KNOW? Itdoesn't sound like he has unwavering confidence in his clients. But he is right about one thing: the truth will come out during litigation. And it will reveal that Ryan O'Neal is a monster, Alana Stewart is soulless and Richard Francis acts like a thug. Of course, the fees Mr. Weitzman and his firm will have collected from Farrah's estate to represent these horrible people will still spend the same."

Nevius sued O'Neal, Stewart and Francis over the Farrah's Story documentary which aired on NBC last year, claiming they went against Farrah's wishes and improperly cut him out of the process. Francis responded with a lawsuit on behalf of the estate, claiming that Nevius botched a first edit of the documentary and "embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars" from the actress' company. Nevius's filing states that he is not seeking any money from Farrah's estate.

Farrah died at age 62 on June 25 after a three-year battle with cancer.

Report: Rehabbing Redmond rebels, refuses role in dad Ryan O'Neal's sequel to TV special about his mom Farrah Fawcett

Gossip man Mike Walker, who has pretty reliable sources, reports in this week's National Enquirer that "drug addict Redmond O'Neal" is "fed up with the money-grubbing exploitation of dead mom Farrah Fawcett by ruthlessly abusive dad Ryan O'Neal" and "finally exploded and refused to star in Ryan's sequel to Farrah's Story, the hit TV documentary that featured shocking footage of jailbird Redmond shuffling in shackles to Mommy's deathbed!"

Walker goes a step further by adding that "Redmond-- desperately fighting his drug habit in rehab-- blames Ryan for the vicious snub of Farrah by the Oscars, which cut her out of its In Memorium segment."

Ryan is quoted by a "friend visiting him in rehab":

"My dad's pissed off so many people in Hollywood that they're taking it out on my mother!"

Redmond reportedly believes his dad is "using poor Farrah's memory to grub for money he badly needs. Redmond got $4.5 million in Farrah's will-- but Ryan got zero."

According to one of Mike's insiders, Red's "residual anger" at that deathbed scene has built after "friends and fellow jailbirds convinced him that Ryan shouldn't have shot that embarrassing footage.

"And now that he's out of jail, he's told Ryan not to visit him in rehab."

Sound true?

Israel Baseball League crashes Beatlesfest!

Among the Beatles memorabilia vendors at the marketplace of the NY Metro Fest for Beatles Fans in Secaucus, New Jersey was Art Shamsky, member of the 1969 miracle Mets and Manager of The Year of the sole year of the lamented Israel Baseball League, the coverage of which, led by Our Man Elli In Israel, led to a much-publicized Pulitzer Prize nomination that was rejected out of hand by that schmuck Sig Gissler. the Beatles played Shea Stadium and Art was signing baseballs and copies of his book, The Magnificent Seasons.

(Last year's New York Metro Beatles Fest odd man out booksigner was Butch Patrick, known to you as Eddie Munster.)

ALERT: Why does TMZ care about Lindsay Lohan all of a sudden?

All of a sudden the corporate porn-pushing gossip site TMZ.com cares about Lindsay Lohan? After years of harassing, intruding, taunting, bothering and humiliating the talented, troubled, hard-partying, hardly working actress, they run an "exclusive" story that her drug use is out of control and she may be near death?

What's their game? Lindsay's father Michael Lohan has been shouting that fact from the rooftops for three years now. We've raised the alarm on a regular basis (as seen below).

Is it a coincidence that the shaved bronzed midget frontman and his toddler army run this "exclusive" story the very same week we threw up our hands and suspended our long-running Lindsay Lohan Watch, that Michael Lohan threatened physical harm paparazzi who endanger his daughter, and a former employee sued the sleaze operation, alleging drug and booze use and harassment?

What do they know? Is TMZ about to be implicated in something? We know they don't care about Lindsay Lohan's health, so why now?

Alana Stewart says she's producing a film about Farrah Fawcett

Liz Smith is still alive and still has a column, in which she reveals this week that Farrah Fawcett’s friend Alana Stewart, who, with a quickie book, producing credit on the Emmy-nominated NBC cancer special, a cancer foundation and a gig for her son on Extra, has made more hay than anyone out of her relationship with the beloved actress, plans to executive produce a film about Farrah.

Pens Liz:

"It will deal with her rise to stardom on 'Charlie’s Angels' and the years that followed, but will touch only briefly on her long battle with the cancer that finally killed her... "The big problem will be finding an actress to play Farrah. The late star was not in any way a typical blonde bimbo type. She had a deep sensitivity and vulnerability that came through in her work, and a sort of soul-bruised vibe in later years. Alana has her work cut out for her. Good luck!"

Liz makes it sound to be a scripted project like that Behind The Camera TV movie on NBC back in 2004, and not a documentary. Add this to Ryan O'Neal's threequel to Love Story and Farrah's Story, one might say the Seventies icon is becoming an industry again.

Lindsay Lohan, watch!

Her tumble into a cactus after a night of revelry is another reason we've discontinued our Lindsay Lohan Watch, and stopped chronicling the activities of the talented, troubled, hard-partying, hardly-working sometime actress Lindsay Lohan. Why bother?

Corporate porn pushers spread disease

So what effect has the corporate porn-pushing gossip site TMZ.com had on mainstream media?

Well, a couple of years ago, when a pornography producer would put out an obviously cynical press release and monetary offer in order to piggyback on and get publicity from a news item-- like "Octomom" Nadya Suleman being in danger of home foreclosure-- the shaved bronzed midget and his lost boys would be the only ones to run the cheesy item that in most cases they helped cook up.

In the end, Suleman claimed she was never in danger of losing her home, after all...
