What a difference a decade makes. Sacha Baron Cohen and actress Isla Fisher got married in Paris over the weekend. We met Isla, who'd gain fame in Wedding Crashers, at a wedding outside London back in 1999. She was 23 and looked about 16, still finding her way after emigrating from Australia where she was best known from appearing in a soap called Home and Away. She was with her boyfriend, Darren Day, with whom she'd appeared in the stage play, Summer Holiday. Day was a song and dance panto star and TV presenter of a type seen only in the UK and Australia. He was angry that he wasn't seated at a better table. There' are photos today of Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher as man and wife at the airport in Los Angeles on their return from Paris.
Darren Day, meanwhile, was photographed today in Edinburgh, Scotland, as he went on trial for allegedly possessing a kubotan, a type of potentially lethal weapon, in public. The 41-year-old singer denied the charge.
