His pickup line at Farrah Fawcett's funeral must have worked, for Ryan O'Neal is seen as a third of an attractive threesome with his recently-reconciled daughter Tatum and a "mystery blonde" at last night's premiere of The Runaways movie at the Arclight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood.
The first trailers are out for The Runaways, the movie about the Seventies jailbait rock 'n' group fronted by Tabloid Baby pal Cherie Currie, who's played by Dakota Fanning (while the girl from Twilight brings her sullen charm to Joan Jett and Elvis' granddaughter is in there somewhere), and it looks like it rocks tabloid at its finest. Cherie, whether rocking the microphone or a chainsaw (look it up) is a doll (and one of the coolest women we know), and the movie is based at long last on her harrowing rock 'n roll suburban memoir Neon Angel, which we expect to be republished with a cool new cover and hit the best seller list when the movie hits.

"...a potpourri blog... a mash-up of retro stars, LA stories, forgotten details, well-worn memories, breaking scoops, all mixed in with a little spritz of analysis. (And damn---excellent grammar and sentence structure from our host!! That you certainly won't find on too many media blogs.)" --Anonymous commenter, 10.24.07
"Dear Burt: While you always had quite a flair for the dramatic, you never had much regard for the truth... Apparently you can't be bothered to read anything carefully. Maybe that is why you, like O'Reilly, make half your crap up.
Glad to hear you finally got sober." -- Barry Nolan, 04.12.08
