Lara Logan swimsuit photos rule okay

Our quest to win back our readership after our yearlong fling with Israeli baseball has gotten a big boost thanks to Lara Logan, the sexy lactating foreign correspondent who just got her booty grounded in Washington with a plum gig meant to keep her not from getting killed, but getting knocked up and busting up another marriage in a hot warzone.

Forty thousand unsolicited hits alone on a Labor Day Weekend Saturday!

All thanks to a recent report that Lara's off the road after her brawling Iraq love triangle scandal and settled into her gig as "chief foreign affairs correspondent" (funny she'd have the word "affairs" in the title) in deadly dull D.C... all because, two years ago, back before the "mainstream" gave a hoot, we had our Tabloid Baby nation on alert to look for the legendary Lara Logan swimsuit photos she'd posed for before her rise to fame as the hottest and hottest-looking television news host and correspondent of our time (the ones that helped give her the nickname 34D Lara in the UK).

Of course we found them.

We still say CBS should give her Katie Couric's job. We'd watch.

Why don't people watch Katie Couric? She lies.

The Los Angeles Times reports:

"Katie Couric said she’s not going anywhere -- at least not any time soon.

"Facing the press for the first time since reports surfaced this spring that she was preparing to leave the CBS News anchor chair after the presidential election, Couric said today that she’s staying put.

“'We have no plans to part company any time soon,' Couric said. 'And there were a lot of speculative pieces that I think got, quite frankly, spun out of control.'

"...The anchor referred obliquely to talks she had with CBS executives earlier this year about her future on the broadcast. In the discussions, Couric and the network officials agreed to table any decision until after the presidential election.

“'You know, we always assess how the show is doing and what direction we want to go in. And so clearly when you work for an organization you have ongoing discussions,' Couric said. 'But I’m very committed to the people here.'”

Network newsreaders ought to talk straight. Katie's "denial" is Clintonesque in its equivocation. Of course she's leaving soon. the network just doesn't want to blow off the election ratings and they can't let her walk until Lara Logan is back from maternity leave.

Parsing the words to squeeze out the real meaning:

"any time soon."

"ongoing discussions."

Now what CBS News really needs is for Katie Couric to get knocked up in a three-way sex scandal

Poor Lara Logan. A girl can work a decade to overcome the label of 34D Lara the South African sex kitten, she can spend four years in Iraq dodging bombs and proving that female war correspondents don't have to look like Christiane Amanpour, and she can make it all the way to 60 Minutes, but when a girl's hot and under fire and surrounded by all those testosterone-charged guys in a warzone, a girl can't help it.

Especially not a girl who tells the New York Times that when she arrived in Pakistan for an exclusive interview with president Pervez Musharraf, "her suitcase with bikinis and other beachwear made it to Islamabad; the suitcase with the rest of her clothes did not."

Hey, most network correspondents and producers act like they're in a warzone and sex it up behind the scenes when they're on the road covering events like candidates' debates. The only criticism of lovely Lara we can think of is that she didn't use protection. You can never tell where those CNN boys have been, and bulletproof vests can only do so much...

But Sean, take advantage! Make her the anchor!
