SOURCES TELL OUR MAN ELLI IN ISRAEL THAT NEITHER THE ISRAEL PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUE NOR THE ISRAEL BASEBALL LEAGUE WILL BE ATTEMPTING TO OPERATE A PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL LEAGUE IN ISRAEL THIS YEAR.
WHILE IT IS CERTAINLY NO SURPRISE WITH REGARD TO THE IBL, THE IPBL'S DECISION WAS APPARENTLY MADE LAST MONTH, PRIOR TO THE MIAMI TRYOUTS, AS A RESULT OF "FINANCIAL AND VENUE ISSUES."
