Our pals at Frozen Television tell us they've added even more overseas appeal to their Neil Innes bio movie, The Seventh Python, with the addition of UK funnyman Phill Jupitus.
Some American viewers might know Jupitus from his appearances on BBC America reruns of hilarious, brainy quiz shows like Never Mind The Buzzcocks. But Jupitus is a household name in the UK-- well-known for his comedy concert DVDs like Quadrophobia, and as a television personality, deejay on BBC radio and playwright. He also made a guest appearance in the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band's 40th anniversary concert at London's Astoria and on the ensuing DVD-- and toured with the reunited loonies around the UK.
"Fans of Eddie Izzard and Ricky Gervais will get a kick out of Phil," says producer Brett Hudson. "He's got the same appeal and sensibility. Burt and the guys caught up with him at Neil's house in Suffolk, where they're mixing the Bonzos' reunion CD (In Dog We Trust)."
