We remember
Stanley Myron Handelman as a top comedian on the Ed Sullivan,
Merv Griffin, Johnny Carson, Dean Martin and Flip Wilson shows back in the late 60s and early 70s. He was the hipster with the big glasses and cap, one of those great overlooked comics like London Lee, Jackie Vernon and Stu Gilliam. We found out he died at 77 and almost skipped the story because the LA Times left out his middle name in the headline of the
obit. How did
TMZ miss this one?
Oh my god, there's so much useful material in this post!
