Michael Douglas, the defiant one

Michael Douglas, shown this morning in New York City, is said to responding well to chemotherapy and radiation treatment for his Stage 4 throat cancer. The Oscar® winning actor has roles in two movies released this year that will surely vie for Best Actor Academy Award® nominations. We expect to see him at the ceremony after he beats this.

  1. I trully do hope he beats this dreadufl disease, I have lost many to cancer beginning with my beloved husband, it will be one year on the 3rd of Dec that I lost him. I hope and pray that Catherine never knows such pain and lonliness as it never gets easier and most definatelly never ever goes away! I keep her and ofcourse Michael in my prayers! May God Bless Them Both!

  2. I am getting ready for phase 2 of my bought with HPV positive Squamous cell carcinoma (throat cancer caused by French kissing and/or oral sex). I am a 49 year old nonsmoker and non drinker. I got my second opinion by Dr Jatin P Shah, Michael Douglas's surgeon /oncologist in November. Ultimately I chose to add surgery, something Michael Douglas chose not to do. Like Michael Douglas, I am also stage 4A. However, because I don't smoke my prognosis is a little higher. Remove the HPV positive status, Michael and I would have little chance of a cure.
