Great ad by VW. VW was making really witty ads during that era. Also a brave ad, since the hippie left, big VW buyers, would not like the humor in this ad since it mocks Teddy's second degree murder episode at Chappaquiddick.
The ad was a National Lampoon parody. Volkswagen sued.
